Ah, tis brown upon the hill,
No tulips or daffodils,
No green grass, no green trees,
But soon May will come and it will change.



No coat or hat, just the warm sun,
Outside all day catching up,
Enjoying he wonders God has brought,
Smiling and laughing as I walk about.



May, the month of many smiles,
May, the month of sore backs.
May, when love begins to bud,
Ah, how time flies along.
