Wooly worms on the ground
Crawling hard to find a home,
Short fur or is it long,
Easy winter or will it be hard?
Maple tree loaded with seeds,
Acers in clumplets, many I see.
Green leaves full and green,
The old tree is weighted down.
Grass is growing really fast,
Warm the days and cool the nights,
Rain and dew makes things grow,
Weeds are sprinting hard.
Aspens are turning yellow
Nice warm days, ah Indian summer
Good sleeping weather, yes indeed,
Oh could I use a snooze.
Days are getting shorter
Seems daylight time is getting later.
Apples ripe, cider time,
It is fall enjoy it all.
