Happy Spring
WELL FOLKS IN THE SNOW
YOU MADE IT TO SPRING WHAT DO YOU KNOW!
THE CROCUS ARE SPROUTING UP THROUGH THE SNOW
AND YOU CANT WAIT FOR THE SUN TO SHOW
THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING WILL BE A DELIGHT
YOU THINK TO YOURSELF, THE DAFFODILS ARE A SIGHT
NOW THE TULIPS WILL COME UP SOON
AND MAYBE RELIEVE ALL OF YOUR DOOM
ITS BEEN A ROUGH WINTER FOR FOLKS BACK EAST
BUT OLE MAN WINTER THAT HORRIBLE BEAST
IS SOON GONE, AND IN COMES SPRING
WITH A SMILE ON HER FACE WEARING A DIAMOND RING
SHE WILL POP UP ALL AROUND
AND SOON SHE WILL LIFT YOUR FROWN
ROSES WILL BLOOM, WHEN APRIL BRINGS RAIN
AND THEN IN JUNE THE CORN CANT BE CONTAINED
SO THINK OF THESE SPECIAL THINGS I WROTE DOWN
AND I SURE HOPE YOUR SPRING TURNS A FROWN
UPSIDE DOWN INTO A SMILE
AND YOU ALL GET TO WALK A WARM SUNNY MILE
HAPPY SPRING TO ONE AND ALL
WE ARE IN THE NINETIES AND HAVNG A BALL
SHORTS ON AND SANDALS
OH THAT WE CAN HANDLE
SUNSCREEN WHEN WALKING
OR JUST STANDING TALKING
UMBRELLAS FOR SUN NOT FOR RAIN
PEOPLE LAUGH AT US, BUT WE HAVE THE BRAINS
TAKE CARE NOW FOLKS AND HAVE A GOOD SPRING
REMEMBER YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT A NEW DAY WILL BRING
SO GIVE A SMILE
AND AFTER A WHILE
RELAX AND HAVE FUN
TIL THIS DAY IS DONE

Happy Spring
Happy Spring, Old Winter is on his way out.
It makes me want to sing and shout.
Green is my favorite color and yellow too.
Can't wait for Summer, how about you?
A carpet of grass, no matter if Dandelions rule.
The kids are playing and laughing, no more school.
Flowers to feast the eyes upon in every direction.
Spring is a time of beauty, a time of resurrection

Happy Spring
This morning I looked out the window
To see a familiar sight.
Blowing past was the snow
Leaving a coating of white.
"Wait a minute! Hold everything!"
I shouted as loud as I could.
"Today is supposed to be the start of Spring!
This is not the way it should!"
I jumped back into the bed.
How miserable I felt.
Pulled the covers over my head.
And prayed for it to melt.
Must've done something just right.
'Cause when I looked again...
Not a snowflake was in sight.
Just a lovely Springtime rain.

Happy Spring
Spring is nigh full bloom,
Azaleas and tulips all tune,
Tune up to the awe of each day's delight,
Spring fever days, cool starlit nights.
Forsythias as red as poinsettias of winter,
Thrift beds and iris, redbuds in the center.
Dandelions' tufts already blowing,
No more this year will it be snowing.
Spring storms in the forecast here in Texas,
Some of these flowers will become exes,
The heat will come soon enough,
There'll be zinnias, verbenas and hot weather stuff.

Happy Spring
'Umbrellas for sun not for rain'
An image I would love to sustain
Sometimes springtime doesn't show
For us'ns here in Seattle know
It'll rain straight through to Independence Day
We chant and wish and hope and pray
Still the clouds arrive and hover low
Ignore our fervent hopes they blow
Away to Idaho

Happy Spring
Spring here appears
Cute little bunnies long ears
Tiny baby quail
Mockingbird sings on a rail
And old Clem gets drunk on beers

Happy Spring
The wind a blowing, my how it howls,
old many winter blows from it's bowls.
six inches of snow, have come down,
heck I laugh and do not frown.
Spring time in the Rockies,
the Rockies where I live,
spring time in the Rockies,
where April ain yet spring.
We pray for snow, we pray for rain,
that is a continual refrain.
need the moisture, need the rain,
all join in for a big refrain.
Daffodils covered with snow,
bud and young leaves a shivering.
The robins all hunkered down,
wearing mucklucs and parkas too.
Welcome spring, when you come,
welcome spring to you I say.
warm weather and flowers bloom,
pity it is nearly June.
